I'm hooked on helping people build their own wooden boat for white water. I live at Eagle Rock Lodge bed and breakfast on the McKenzie River which is run by my beautiful wife Debbie. I also co-own Tatman Wooden Boats with my son Sanderson.
My day job is as an executive in the computer games industry helping great games get made by very talented people.
Molly is a "one eyed" springer of 3.5 years of age. That pic was taken just over the BC border on our trip to Alaska this last July/August.
I saw your Brit when I picked up the plastic for my boat bottom. I will add a pic if I can figure how.
Thanks Randy. Long-time fan of wooden boats of all kinds. Future builder...
Wondering why I don't see more wooden boats on the river. Maybe harder economic times will bring back some of that DIY spirit.
Thanks Randy, I posted the image (Poster), I am new to this as well, so it might be a little big. I will post some images of my boat soon. this is a great blog, I loved the video of the aluminum boat wrapping, ( I'm sure the oarsman didn't care for it) man that stuff is sticky...
Sure enough, the Wooldridge is a sled but it's my play boat for the lower 34 miles of the Deschutes. It's an 18.5 Extra Plus. I don't guide out of it but often use it to chase steelhead on the lower river. Not as fun as the driftboat, but still an efective tool for catching fish. I look at it as a different challenge on moving water. It opens up some great bird hunting territory as well.

I am not sure exactly what you mean. I left my website and profile on my page.
