I'm a Chiropractor in Mount Shasta with a new passion for building a McKenzie Drift boat. I've started on the project using Roger's Double Ender with a Transom plans.
I also write about bicycle equipment on my website, cycling-review.com.
My current boat consists of frames one through five of the 16 foot Double Ender with a Transom. It doesn't float yet; but it won't be long now...maybe only a few years.
Welcome aboard. I have been in the process of building my boat for longer than I want to remember. However I am very close. I have 26 days before I want to travel to the 7th Annual McKenzie River Wooden Boat Festival. Just got my trailer last weekend. I have been doing sub-assemblies and finishing them as I go.
We would love to see pictures of your build.
In regard to you bicycling, I have been experimenting with recumbent trikes. Bought an older prototype and have been repairing, replacing and raely riding. Time to get back on the road again!

I guess that I will just have to mount it on one of my oars for the festival!
