About Me:
One day, my Dad told me that he was going to teach me how to row! This was the best thing ever! Trusting me with his 1968 built wood boat! Freedom!

Turned out that he just needed someone to row so he could fish...

That was in 1979. Now, believe it or not, I enjoy rowing more than fishing.

I still remember Olympic Peninsula steelhead trips pushing out after our limit of 18-22 pound fish and falling asleep in the front seat from the rhythm of the boat.

Oh ya, it was raining of course...

Boats I own:
1995 built 16' x 48" Don Hill Standard with water tight compartments and a 18' x 54" Don Hill modified with compartments and fully self-bailing floor.

    THANKS ROBB FOR THE ADVICE !I WAS LOOKING THROUGH THE PICS ON THIS FORUM AND CAME ACROSS YOUR BUILD IT LOOKS EXACTLY WHERE IM AT NOW WITH MINE. I WANT TO FILL ALL THOSE HOLES IN AND SAND IT DOWN THE WAY YOU DID IT LOOKS GOOD. I THINK I SHOULD DO THE SAME SO YOU USED A WOOD FLOUR RESIN MIX NOW IM NEW AT THIS SO HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING THAT ?IS WEST SYSTEMS 10 USED OR IS THIS DIFFERENT IF YOU DONT MIND TELLING ME  WHAT TO BUY IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. I ALSO HAVE THE INSIDE CHINES REMOVED GOING TO REPLACE OF COURSE ALONG WITH THE BOTTOM I WOULD LIKE TO DO IT THE SAME WAY YOU DID YOUR BOAT LOOKS AWESOME I CHECKED FOR ROT EVERYWHERE EVERYTHING SEEMS SOLID THE ONLY BAD SPOT IS SOME SOFT WOOD ON THE TRANSOM ON THE VERY END PEICE WHERE THE BOTTOM  SCREWS ON CAN I FILL THAT IF NOT I WILL  HAVE TO REPLACE IT ITS NOT THAT BAD MAYBE 2 SMALL AREAS GOING ACROSS.THANKS FOR GETTING BACK TO ME ANYTHING YOU CAN TELL ME WILL BE HELPFUL IM WORKING ON THIS BOAT WHEN I CAN BETWEEN WORK AND THE DAUGHTERS SOFTBALL GAMES BUT EVERY STEP I CAN DO HELPS ME GET CLOSER TO THE NEXT STAGE.STEELHEADING THE WENATCHEE IS GREAT ITS BEEN GOOD THE LAST FEW YEARS LUCKY TO HAVE IT OPEN IN THE WINTER MONTHS.WE WILL SEE IF THEY OPEN IT AGAIN IN 2012/2013 IF YOU NEED TIPS ON CATCHING THEM I WOULD BE GLAD TO HELP.
