About Me:: Met and married a fly fisher when I came to Oregon. We don't fish Oregon as much as we used to, and I thought I could change that by buying a drift boat - no more blowing up and deflating a raft, or watching one person fish while the other paddled the canoe. I was so excited about this that I bought the first used boat I saw. I know nothing about the boat - just wanted a "starter".

On its maiden run, we broke the "tilt" on the trailer, found a leak in the boat, and the swivel seat in front swiveled off its foundation. Overall I'm impressed by the maneuverability of the boat - much quicker than the raft. I admire all the wood drift boats I've seen on this site and the stories that go with them. One day I'll trade up, I hope.
