I am probably going to do the same with mine i.e. couple coats of expoxy then stain or paint like you did and keep the frames and sides clear.  I am building a Rapid Robert, and am about 80% done with the frames.

Hi Gil, it is 3 coats of Cabot acrylic solid color deck stain over a couple coats of epoxy. I will put a clear coat on top when the boat is finished for some added protection. Thanks and hope your build is going well.

Hi Kurt,

Nice looking boat.  I am building one here in North Carolina.  What is on the bottom I like this look.
