I have 2 wooden drift boats. The Crenshaw Boat (Junction City, OR) is over 35 years old and still in pretty good shape although it leaks a little. I bought it new in 1973 from Ralph Crenshaw and it was one of the last boats he made. It is on a Jim's Trailer of the Cedar Mill area of Beaverton. Jim's Trailers in those days just used as a roller on the back a core about 6" in diameter that he obtained from a plywood mill.
The other boat is less than 10 years years old and is a Tatman boat out of Cresswell, Oregon I believe. It is on an Alumaweld Trailer and it does not even use a roller.
