Thanks again to Debbie and Randy for hosting again at their beautiful Eagle Rock Lodge the 7th. conclave.  Great weather, food, and Ninkasi microbrew.  The best, as usual, is seeing old friends and getting to share remembrances and thoughts about boats and the rivers of the West.  My personal highlight was getting to see Portola and Susie Too, which Greg Hatten and Randy Dersham rowed down the Colorado.  May we all live to see the next!

I had a great time, even if we had to cut it short.  Lots of ideas for the next build, and even some ideas for mods. on my present RR.

Thank you very much.

Special thanks to Debbie, Randy, and Sandy, and all of you who made a memorable day on the river.  It was really nice to finally meet many of you.  Thank You,  Stewart Cross

Very enjoyable day looking at all the craftmanship.  Had a great time, and enjoyed meeting and talking with Rick Newman who has helped me on this forum as of late.  I hope to come back next time and bring my boat to share.

Thank you Randy and Debbie for hosting a great event.

Thanks to everyone that attended it was another wonderful Wooden Boat Festival. I got to meet many people that I had only visited with online. What a great crowd of people. In my years of belonging to organizations both formal and informal I have never met a warmer, more pleasant group of people. I guess that wooden boats bring out the best people. Also thanks to everyone that mentioned their appreciation for my work with the web site and such. It was very heartwarming and made me feel very highly regarded.

Thanks to Randy, Debbie, Sanderson, Roger and Jessie for all the hard work involved with the Festival. AJ your oysters were the hit of Friday Night BBQ. I had never had any Wyoming oysters!

Great time as always and nice to talk to the few people i did get to talk to, just wish i could have made it in time for the float

Noted author Roger Fletcher was recently spotted at the Wooden Boat Festival. Seems like he found a new job!Rick Newman

Great show as usual. The one comment that I heard over and over is once a year is not enough!

By the way it seems this job was had by a person or two.

You are all great!

It was a wonderful day with the weather helping out and a lot of volunteers running shuttle, parking cars, moving boats around and, of course, the McKenzie Guides Association with their lunch fundraiser for river programs.

Rick, please post more photographs. I was so busy this year that I didn't take any. Shame on me.

Randy and all, I just returned home from the Festival last night at 9. I've got to work for a few hours and hope to sort through the other 299 photos and start to post them. If any body uses a Mac and has a copy of iLife 2009 I am trying to locate one. I took video also but do not yet have any good softwear to process it. Once again thanks to all that attended, it was once again a great experience.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to put it on, I got tons of improvement ideas. I am already looking forward to next years. I brought a friend with me who has a speed boat and he is already thinking of building some kind of wooden boat.

Here's a small selection of pictures, not highlights, just ones that strike my fancy.Jeff Wilson's beautiful boat. Jeff and his lovely wife Cathy Jean traveled from Wyoming to attend.Randy Dersham's Susie Too. A very nice new build. Shown here after it's first voyage!A J DeRosa another Wyoming resident. AJ, we're glad you always make the trip!A great example of some beautiful woodwork. My hat is off to all builders!Nice job on your boat Chris. He also made a handy boat dolly so he can move his boat single handed.Mike Baker and his 17th build. He's doing a great job in my opinion.I really like this anchor rope handling system. No rope to catch on your feet.An original Keith Steel boat built in 1966 for Bill Kirkpatrick, if I remember right Bill still owns the boat!

I have a feeling this is probably enough for one post.
