I have been lurking in the background on this site for a long time and many of you have unknowingly played important roles in my very first drift boat build.

This is a true double ended fishing boat that I designed for tailwaters in Montana.   I learned alot, cussed alot, drank alot,..... and I loved every minute of building this boat.

I figured the least I could do was post a picture and say THANK YOU!

Beautiful!

Congrats for thinking outside the box (err boat...)

Thanks David

Gunnel Ash came from a tree in a friends back yard.  One of my favorite parts of this build...I did steam bend some ash from a lumber place.  It was Kiln dried and it didn't steam nearly as well as straight from the tree....air dried 2ys maybe??
