I have recently become the owner of what (I am fairly certain) is a 1957 Elgin.

This boat was last in the water 20 years ago. At that time, it did float and the engine did run. It has spent the last 20 years in a carport.

I am beginning to explore my options of whether to try to restore or sell this boat.

I've included a link to pictures of the boat below and I would very much welcome any observations, suggestions you may have.

Tim:  Suggest you go to The Hull Truth.com  This site is powerboats- big and small.  Lots of experts here.  They might tell you to take it out to sea and scuttle it.  Just my opinion- but I don't think it has much value and I would not want  an outboard engine that old- the new ones are much more reliable and fuel efficient. My 2005  115HP gets much better fuel economy than my old 1975.

Good Luck
