Looking for info/suggestions about a pyramid shaped anchor. I noticed that some companies make them from lead while others steel. It seems like the steel anchor would be more environmently freindly, are the steel anchors larger at 30 pounds? Any help/thoughts, thank you

I'm kinda pulling thois out of thin air but I've heard that leafd is actually pretty stable in the environment. I'm also pretty sure I've heard that the biggest threat from lead is birds eating seed sized split shot. The anchor itself is way too big for any of that environmental malarky. Then again I've heard the 'Slaw has elevated levels of led most likely from sinkersso who knows. Let your conscience be your guide.

Thanks for reminding me though, mnow would be a good time to wade the coastal rivers fro lost anchors and lures!
no need to use lead, no need to buy an anchor.

Find a cavalier front rotor. spray paint it flat black. chain it up and your anchoring.

If you lose it, no worries. they can be had free.

Sure, its a little redneck, but I'm from the hills of PA!

Dave, I got a good laugh out of of your suggestion... I am set, I have some kind of rotor that I use to keep the shop door open on nice days. I another hurdle passed over. Steve
