Authentic Day on the "Mac"
After the Boat Festival, we had a special guest in Eugene to perform in the "traveling" Broadway Show - Spamalot. We fished "old school" - with dry flies, silk line, handcrafted Bellinger Bamboo fly rods, and of course... a wooden McKenzie style drift boat.
It was an awesome day & John OHurley is a great guy, fantastic fly fisherman, and one of the best casters I've ever seen. We had a blast!!

The water looks a bit high. It looks like great fishing, how was the catching? Nice looking boat!

Nice eye!! McKenzie was high & cold. We should've been nymphing to catch a lot of fish - but it was a "throw-back" outing so we fished dries. Not much top water activity - but we caught a few fish.
