Just thought I would ask any of you boat builder folks who live in the Eugene/Springfield area if you've heard of a db builder by the name of Leo Cannaday?

From what I was told by the original owner of the db I bought from him in 2001 is that Leo worked for Woodie Hindman and that Woodie had left him the plans for the boat.

The boat has 10 ribs and is a McKenzie double ender with a transom and was built in 1968. Cody at Tatman told me when I was down in Springfield buying a trailer that 10 ribs was one sign of a Hindman designed boat.

I'd sure like to find some more history on Leo and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Mitchell,
I don't know the answer to this but the person that might is Roger Fletcher, he is a member here and a drift boat historian. You might want to send this question to him via the email link. I'll keep my fingers crossed that he catches this post and has some info.
Randy,

I tried Roger on that question last year and hoped he could lead me in the right direction. He could not. Dang.

I think there are some Cannaday's in Brownsville. I may have to go knocking on doors.

thank you for replying.
