Boot Holes

Quick question, how far in front of your rowing seat did you cut the flat part (where you are bracing) of your boot holes?  I screwed up and put them too far forward my first time.  I'm 6ft if that helps at all.   thanks

Sit on the oarsman seat with your knees slightly bent. Mark where your heals are. That should be the spot.

I didn’t do any cut outs but my floor boards stop at the 6 frame. I’m 6 feet tall and put my feet on the 6 frame when getting after it. Seat is higher than recommended at 16 3/4. I have the tall regal oarlocks with the spacers
