I built a Tatman 17' boat in the early 1990's. I've used it maybe 10 times since. I'd consider it in excellent condition. It also has a nice trailer. It has been stored indoors. I'm considering selling it. I live in Idaho Falls. Just wondering if anyone has a good estimate as to a fair asking price. . . .? Thanks, Mike

Mike,

Do you have any pictures?

I am interested in buying a 17' Tatman....Could you send me some photos?
Here are some photos. The floor panels have been removed for cleaning. Mike

Mike,

Beautiful boat. I really like how you broke up the paint and varnish (??) on the outside. I would say you should be able to ask $5,000 - $6,500. Dose it have an anchor system? Why are you selling?

Jesse
Jesse,

Thanks for the reply. It does not have an anchor system. I added a rail to separate the varnished area from the paint.

You know, since my original post, I've had second thoughts about selling it. With the economy in the tank right now, I've been a little concerned about cash flow (I'm self employed). As it is though, things are going pretty well. I love my boat and will probably keep it. I was curious about value though and I appreciate your reply.

Mike,

Great decision... if it works i guess. I hope things go well. Just so you know where I came up with the numbers, I was looking pretty seriously about two years ago and the numbers I gave you are in line with used wood boats of your caliber I found online.

I live in Rigby, if you ever need someone to float with drop me a line.

Jesse
