I am finishing the side panels of my boat before attaching them using marine epoxy. I plan on using z-spar when the boat is near complete. I want the clear wood finish to show. Does anyone out there know if it is necessary to use the clear hardener (west system) as versus the more common 205? Thanks for all your help, I really appreciate it.

yes, if you want the side panels to be natural you will need to use 207 hardener. If you don't mind the red tint then you can use 205. I prefer to use silvertip for large surface areas because it is a blush free epoxy.
Oh well, time to go to the store. Haven't tried silvertip. Appreciate your help.
Thanks again.
