Hey all,
Just thought I would post a few pics from a recent trip.
The boat is taking us to some great places that are holding some wonderful fish. I enjoy rowing the boat around as much as I do fishing. I want another one. (shhh)

These images are from the AuSable here in the mitten.
Spent a couple days on the river with the boys. Been really itching to get back out, but since I am stuck at work until further notice, I will post a few pics. Think we might venture out in a week or so to the Big Manistee. (A year ago this coming weekend we launched the boat for the maiden voyage on that river).

Some fun streamer fishing water... lots of riffles and plenty of feisty rainbows.

The guys re-rigging...

An opportunity to "really" use the net!

Dry fly brown... (yes I know the camera angle is favorable ha)

AuSable sunset. Nice end to a nice day...

Thanks for looking.

Jason...
The VHoldr is pretty unique... a 4oz HD camera mostly used for extreme athletes and events - it's a perfect "fit" for fly fishing adventures... I took the camera and made a few "creative adaptations" for fishing.

Now that's a nice setup... well done.
Thanks a lot Greg... now I want one too! : )

Yup... does a pretty good job. Allows me to use hands for rowing the boat, netting the fish, taking still pictures etc.....

Greg, That hat cam is something else. Such a realistic perspective- Yikes -When you switched places with your passenger in the video, I thought I was going to lose my balance and fall out of my chair.

Jason, great fish pics - the perspective/ camera angle on that one photo is great also. In my book, holding the fish out front is fair game, it's only a crime when you have a lame picture of an awesome fish.

Greg,

Great video of a great experience! My first thought on watching it was, "I've got to have one of those cameras!", but my second thought was, "Do I ever do anything as exciting as summer steelheading?" I'm still pondering that.
Awesome fish guys!
Hey Greg, it's hard to tell but it looks like you have a floating line on that rod. Were you guys skating for fish? Great video.
Mike
Hi Mike,
The line is a "modified" sink tip... only has about 6 or 7 ft of sink tip before the leader (a little shorter than the standard Type III sink - works really well for summer steelhead river levels). We weren't skating - but "close". Running flies just below the surface -swinging out in front of the boat as we worked our way through the slots and tail-outs.
