We launched one of the two boats this past week in Nothern Michigan.  My personal boat is stil high and dry in the garage.  The launch was rather uneventful.  I've been in and out of enough of these things that I don't get misty-eyed during the first time it gets wet.  if anything, I was excited to get on the water after a long drive to start catching some fish!  Here are a few pictures.  Bottom line, this little boat does exactly what I set out to build it for.....get us into big fish on dry flies on small rivers.  Enjoy!

That boat looks great on the water and that brown trout is a splendid example of the breed.  Congratulations on a successful boat project and on the fishing.

What more could a fly fisherman want?

Boat looks perfect for the task. Nice work.

i agree w jonathan.  those are some gorgeous fish.  maybe ive been away from trout fishing for too long but those look like natives to me.  we used to always check out the fins, the ones that are nicked and torn are stocked fish (from the tanks), the perfect clean fish grew up in the wild.  could be an old wives tale, but i always enjoyed catching the "clean" ones.
Thanks gang... Those are indeed wild fish.  Or at least ones that were raised in the riverbed.
