I'll have to check that out.
I went by the lumber Co. (Sears Trostel) IN Fort Collins yesterday to check the prices of Hydrotec and CVG DF. They only had one sheet of 1/4 Hydrotec but will get more.
Prices:
Hydrotec 1/4 x 4 x 8 ............$51.85 ea.
Okoume 1/4 x 4 x8 ..............$124.16 ea
Fir 1/2 x 4 x 8 (marine) .......$81.44 ea
CVG DF 4/4 x 6" hit and miss planed ........ $5.99 bf
CVG DF 4/4 x 8" " " " " ......... $6.40 bf
CVG DF S4S 1x6 ......... $4.10 linear foot
Rift sawn White oak 4/4 ......... $5.81 bf

Are these prices near to what you other fellows run into when buy materials lately?

Check out almquistlumber.com, they are in Arcata CA near Eureka about 30 min. south of the OR border. There prices were within a few dollars of the lowest I found
5 ply 6mm marine hydrotec 33.75
7 ply 9mm marine hydrotec 54.00
9 ply 12mm marine hydrotec 71.55
Great guys, very helpful and they stock a good variety of boat building wood. Since the hydrotec is and off shore product you guys on the east coast should be able to find prices close to this.

My current build here on the coast of Maine.
6MM Merranti $47
6MM Occume $100
9MM Merranti $65
9MM Occume$105
My local sawmill- air dried WO,rough $1.5bf
4sheets of 6MM and 1 sheet of 9MM Merranti cost $265

Probably build more boats here in Maine than inFort Collins- so prices might be varialble.

Ahhhh lawrence, you live in a wonderful part of the country. I was there once. we traveled up through N.Y to Montreal. then down through N.H and V.T and over to Maine. I was hell bent on seeing the Friendship Sloop. so we went to Friendship Maine. But Alas, they wern't building any at the time. Had a wonderful time anyway. Ate some lobster in a cafe out on a warf where you could look through the floor and see the water below. it was in Free Port I think. Of course we went to L.L. Bean while there. We are poised to visit Arcadia in the next year or two. so I will be in your neck of the woods sooner or later.
