I recently purchased a 16 foot Keith Steele boat. Sadly, the owner left the boat uncovered and right-side up in Oregon weather for several years. The boat became a bird bath.
The rear half of the boat is in surprisingly good condition - the wood is solid. The front half is a different story. Parts of the chine, on both sides, have rotted significantly and there are a few holes in the sides as well.
I very hopeful that this boat can be restored. Such a great part of local history and don't want to see the boat demolished. If any of you have a moment, could you share some thoughts?
