These work pretty good, Eugene Foundry, http://www.oregonpattern.com
They are brass or bronze, 5/8 inch shaft x about 3 inches tall, with about a 2 3/4 to 3 inch ID, you can adjust them, about $30.00 set. You need to drill your own hole for a cotter key. When you call, ask for the "Franks" oarlock.
