I have decided I am going to build the Rapid Robert.  I noticed that UKalady is building a boat with scrap driftwood.  I'm on a really tight budget.  I also happen to have a stock pile of pallet materials from my shop.  I don't have a planer or a table saw either.  I do have a Skihl saw. I will be doing a lot of the work by hand.

Do you think pallet wood materials from good sturdy heavy pallets would be suitable for a frame?

What are some consequences from using them?

Another idea is to use local wood from our saw mill in town.  The wood is all rough cut and only in rough 2x4 dimensions.
