Restoring life to dried out wood

The wood from the rowers area to front is definitely dried out and has some cracking, nothing to bad though. It has a gray tone it, in the dried sections. Would a sanding bring back some coloring?

You will want to clean the area well and then use a color restorer like THIS ONE from Interlux.

There are many other brands as well. After you clean and restore the color then a light sand and apply your choice of finish.
