I purchased a 15' drift boat but the rock gards on the sides were not installed. I have three thirteen foot boards to do it with they just need to be cut and shaped. Question is the about the shape and size pattern. Also how to find the ribs correctly for attachment.

ya don't need em, but if you insist- and they do look nice- On mine I believe they are 6" wide, and long enough to go from the first frame to last frame.  The taper you can work out by eye.  Merry Christmas!
Sharp lookig boat John,Congratulations!Dave's right ,you don't need to install these. The purpose of these is historical in nature in that they were necessary to avoid damage to the sides of the boat from the tires on the trailer. As far as "rock guards "go they have very little practical use.The best rock guard is an aware oarsman. Also ,keeping the sides the way they are is much easier to paint when you need to throw a touch up coat on....Happy Holidays!
