Sliding Front Seat

Hi, I am building the double ender with transom out of Mr. Fletchers book.  I was wanting to do the sliding front seat.  Can anyone who has done this give me the measurement of how high the rails are off the floor and what the distance it between them?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Thomas, on frame #8, measure from the top of horizontal frame up the vertical frame piece 9-1/2 inches. Make a mark in the center of the frame on both sides at that height. Measure distance between these marks and that will be the distance between the rails. For the pipe braces at frame #6, I drill the hole up 10 inches. Have fun!

Thanks for the help.  Just finished up my rowing seat so moving on to the passenger seat in the next day or so.
