Hey fellas,
Looking at some pictures and thought I would post about our last weekend steelhead fishing. We went on a day trip to the Muskegon River here in western MI. The trip was fun as it was the first time we have floated that particular river.

We did pretty good on the trout front... went 0/1 on steelhead. Christine hooked up with it around 11:00... had no idea what it was at first, it stayed down deep and then burst to the surface after a few seconds. Made a couple awesome tail walks while shaking it's head... Great colors - bright red streak down the side, big fish... Had the fish within a foot or so of the net and it turned made another strong run and jump to toss the hook. We both sat there and looked at each other like "wow!". It was awesome.

Trying to get something together for this weekend - have a good feeling. The deer opener is Sunday so the river should be a little less busy... last weekend was a jet boat race... haha. I think we were the only boat on the river without a motor... keeping it real. I was going to put the boat away for a while - but I decided that was not much fun, so instead we are going to take a few more trips between now and the new year. It is going to start getting COLD soon... so we'll see what I am made of! ha

Here are a couple pics of some trout we caught. Thanks for looking!
Jason
