i now have a coat of epoxy on the entire hull, inside and out.  getting ready to varnish.  my question:

can i abrade the epoxy or do i need to sand it all the way to a scuffed gray?  i have heard both, and want the WBP opinion, which i value greatly. 

if some of you have seen my build you will understand what a pain it would be to sand fully.  i have a lot of ribs, and a lot of 1x edges that will need to be done by hand.  obviously i am ready to do it if need be. 

for what its worth, i used west systems epoxy w/ their 206 special clear hardener, and will be finishing w/ epiphanes marine varnish (4 coats probably).  i want to get on this asap so any input is appreciated.
