It would be interesting to view trailers and tow vehicles. Over many years I have witnessed some very interesting combos!
Should have created an album and/or book(best sellers list)!!!!!!

Georgia Drifter, what waters are you drifting down there? I grew up in the greater Atlanta area, and go back a couple of times a year. I have family that lives on the Chattahoochee, but on the southern end below Atlanta, so I am not sure I want to fish the water coming out of the city.
In the research we are doing on the GEM, Fulmer drove his boat and or trailer 1900 miles out to AZ every summer for 4 years in the 1950's. He let a friend drive one time, and the car was side-swiped. Totaled the Mercury, but the boat survived. This was before interstates, and they would head out on Route 66. On the return to Muncie in 1956, Fulmer came out of a dinner to find the GEM smoking. On closer look, he saw a nice round burn hole in one of the rub rails where another vehicle had backed up to the boat, and the vehicle's muffler had burned a perfect round hole in the side of the rail.

So as we build this boat, we will need a trailer. Who's got thoughts on makes and models?

Thanks for your thoughts, yours, tom
