My good friend and fellow wood boat enthusiast, Jayson Hayes and I, took our pair of wood drift boats down the Wild and Scenic Section of the Rogue last week.  It's a special place and it's particularly enjoyable rowing it in our handmade boats.  Check out the video I shot and take note of Jayson rowing the Coffee Pot in Mule Creek and then a little later, Blossom Bar.... both are Class IV's and require skill, nerve, and concentration -particularly when rowing wood. Jayson has all of those things on display in a text book run!!  Great trip with a bunch of great guys.

Great video Greg.  Fun to watch.

Can you tell me about the tent that you show at the 2:32 mark?  The one using the oars as tent poles.  I just did three days on the South Fork of the Snake and was thinking that a tent using oars would be a nice touch.

Yup - it's actually a rain fly from David Ellis Canvas called the "Rogue".  Pretty slick way to travel on the river... I highly recommend it for the Snake!!  Take Care.
