I am working on building a Ozark fisherman drift boat from some internet plans with a few modifications. I have about worn out the Tatman boat internet pages and want one REAL bad. My budget numbers say otherwise. So I will finish what I have started and be happy for now.
Paul - welcome to the site. I know Humboldt Nebraska, but not Kansas... I also know the Ozarks very well - I'm a Hillbilly from St. Joe, MO... home of Jesse James and Stetson Hats. Hope you enjoy all the chatter about wooden boats... I've caught a lot of bass down on Table Rock...
Hello Greg, Humboldt Kansas is 100 miles from anywhere. It is 100 miles to Kansas City, Wichita, Joplin Mo and 100 to Tulsa OK. I have fished a ton on the Roaring River arm of Table Rock after the trout that make it out of the park.
I will enjoy reading the posts here and dream of cool clear fast water

OK - I know that area... as a kid I floated the Current, Gasconade, and Jacks Fork down there in the Ozarks... thought I heard my relatives playing the banjo a couple of times.
I spent 20 years with Hallmark Cards in Kansas City before coming "west" to enjoy the "cool clear fast water" of Oregon... enjoy.
Hey Paul, my boat is an Ozark built from the sparse plans from Spira International. I added a breast hook, fly deck, designed the seat ( an approved floatation cushion fits in the middle) and have added a front seat as well.
Just let me know if you have any questions.
