Welcome to the site... does that nc stand for North Carolina or No Comment... I spent some time in Charlotte... nice place but no Steelhead.

I had a crazy gig in Charlotte for a year - worked in the sport of NASCAR (I'm sure you've heard of it!!) Man, those people love that sport in the Carolina's... had an office right across from the Speedway. There are some great rivers out here & the fishing is as good as the white water!! Good luck on the boat.

Thanks!! I just put her on the water a few days ago for the first time. She floats amazing. Its really cool to see the finished (almost) product on the water. It seems almost unreal that I have my own drift boat now and I built it from scratch for under $2000 bucks. Now i just need a trailer. Good luck with your MBB boat, they are beautiful, I have a few friends who own them.

yeah, my boat is far from perfect, I actually like it that way, it looks even more homegrown. I want to build another boat but the funds are not there. I am just glad to have this one. I have never been up and fished the flathead river. I used to fish the lake for Macinaw as a youngster. We have so much water near Bozo that its hard to drive 5 hours. I do want to get up and fish the Kootenai near Libby though.

    JB,

The DE is double ender. DET is double ender with transom.

Yeah, I'm not correct- My current build is a DET, 16x48.... my last build was a 14' "Trapper" (Kind of like a Rapid Robert) and the first was a DET.

I lust after a true double ender.... ah, someday.....Roger Fletchers book, if you don;t have it, you need it.... has all of these boats in it. The 16' and 13' DE are sweet rides. They look like waves themselves.
