I haven't quite got that far. Right now is is sanding 41 years worth of crap and oxidation off all the wood. There are two or three different colors of wood even though it is all the same wood because of age. Some wood looks new, other looks like it came from the dark ages. Going to have to paint the sides because of wood stains, would have to sand off one whole layer of ply just to get rid of it.

I think the whole seat looks good.  Have you posted pictures of the boat?
