My first driftboat project, a leaky old 15.5 footer with a 1/4" ply bottom and purple painted interior. It has several holes and one sizable rotten spot at the chine.

Not sure if this would be considered a high side. My oars are 8-1/2 and they seem about right, but I am new to drifting and have tried no other oars. I did have to make brackets to raise the oar locks about 4 ". Only advantage as I can remember was I could row (barely) from a standing position.

Troy, Nice work, It looks like the boat is a high side what size oars are you using?  I've got a 14 ' His side and the oar balance has been an issue. 9' oars are too short and 10'  the right length but out of balance.
