Thanks Greg -- My wooden boat has a jetski engine plus seven layers of glass on the bottom including one of kevlar..... wondering if it would be too heavy for the fish ladder. I have three inches of foam inside the frames including the bottom so the flotation is about three? times what the boat weighs. Hope we get to talk soon, and thanks..... Don
Hi Don - thanks for the comments. Blossom was running at about 1,500 cfs out of Grants Pass on that trip - that's my favorite level for running the Wild and Scenic. I've been through there a bunch of times and I highly recommend it!! I like fishing that section as much as running the water and for me, the best "range" is 1,200 cfs to 3,500 cfs. At those levels, the only way I'd do Rainie Falls in a wood boat is lining it through the Fish Ladder. I'm in the midwest for the holidays - I'll give you a call when I return to the NWest. Gregg - perfecto, not a missed stroke. Wonder how much the flow was that day, and how many times you have been through there? One of these days I aspire to do that in my jet drifter. This coming summer 2012 I would like to put in at Graves creek and do the wild section including Blossom Bar. Thinking I can work up enough speed and have no trouble squirting through Rainie Falls.... Like to talk with you sometime. Don Wakefield 530 876 3256
