I'll be heading up to Northern Michigan a week from tomorrow....hopefully with the boat! My wife and I muscled it out of my shop last night and onto the trailer. Took it to a buddy's automotive place to paint the exterior sides, then it's off to get the interior floor sprayed with bedliner on Monday. The remainder of the interior will be oiled. I'll be spending this weekend sanding and oiling the rails, trim and seats so I can finish this damn thing once and for all.
Looks great......how soon till it hits the water? My first season has been great and rowing is almost better than fishing. Only drawback, I need to find a fisherman for up front that sees what I see and hits the exact spots I want them to hit with a cast. good luck with glass and varnish.....thin coats
My bike is an 04 R1150GS. That picture is from Atigun Pass on the Dalton Highway. What a great trip that was; I want to do it again, but next time maybe to Inuvik. But for now, I too am now tied to my boat. I haven't been on the bike since I move it to make room for the boat. I'll start working on the boat's inside in about a week!
Thanks, Guy! Still have a million things to do. One day at a time.
That's a nice GS in your picture! I have an '02 Adventure, but since I started building my boat I don't get out nearly enough.
That boat is looking great!
