Grand Canyon river runner Neal Newby checks out the GEM at the Animas River Days in Durango Colorado. Neal floated through Grand Canyon (Lee's Ferry to Phantom Ranch) in 1956. He didn't know how to swim, but he did have the smarts to wear a life jacket!
