In the picture it shows the first chine i cut and put in in the other pic of my chines you can tell i learned from my mistakes they fit much better i employed a similar 2clamp method 2nd time round

Hi Dustin, with a couple clamps you can snug the chine into the notch. When you snug it down to the horizontal frame member and they aren't flush, just sand that intersection until they are flush. Taper it back a ways on both chine and frame so it is a smooth transition....it won't hurt a thing.

No im not going to shim the gap because the chime is attached to the side and bottom not to the frames. I didn't think it was a problem.on my next boat im planning to make my cuts more snugg though
