It was better than I expected. It is so light and short that I could move away from the swirls and stay on top of the bubbles. The raft in front of me nosed into the wall in the narrows and was bounced back into an eddie. He was spun around a couple of times and I had to pass him. I had enough room because the boat is so short. If I had tried that with a traditional boat I would have been very nervous of a bridge between me and the raft.

Each place that I was worried it performed better than I expected.

How was this little boat in Mule Creek canyon? One of the advantages of running a shorter boat is is cant get pinned and bridge in the coffee pot, but I imagine it was still a hell of a ride!
