Steve,
The bottom is Plascor, it is joined in the middle with a dovetail, and the side pieces are just butt joints. They will be under a couple of biaxal fiberglass layers once the sides are attached.

Scott ,Steve Sobba from Wichita, Ks asking about your picture, titled bottom shaped. What kind of wood or is that the plasticor? What about the scarf pattern? Great looking project. Thanks steve
