Dad studied all there was about the Grand Canyon, and his Interpretive Program for that river was deep and shared with all the guides he trained for his own river company, Wilderness World. Here he is reading up on the place he loved so much. He rowed over 70 trips through the Canyon, and in the early '70's proposed a Guide Training Program to the National Park Service, a training system that continues on to this day.
