MRWBF= McKenzie River Wooden Boat Festival....Sounds like you have a great project in the works. Of course some rivers don't allow motors and you would most likely need to get tags (ie, pay the tax) for the boat depending on your location. The guys at Clackacraft boats gave me a good deal on the oars, they can be expensive so shop around. Good luck with your boat.

Hi Jeff - not sure what MRWBF means, but I'll bet a gathering of boating kin..... I have started my own version of a driftboat - did the lines myself - a real morphodite of a project. Rear half is a straight lines skiff - front half is a pointy Mckenzie - 15' long. And get this - I have figured out (I hope) how to drop an 80 HP Yamaha motor and pump into the aft six feet or so. No more transportation problems for me, no shuttle service. Fish arent' biting?, windy?, rain? Time to go back....Start er up and go back to the pickup! I'll post some pictures before very long. Hope my boat comes out as pretty as yours! I like those oars - expensive? Don
