Ron Hayes never flipped his little dory, The Betty Boop, but he came REALLY close many times, like here. Shown from a downstream perspective, Dad got into trouble in the massive hole at the bottom of the rapid. The Betty Boop was stood on her tail, made a 180 degree spin and came down upright as Ron slid out the back with the oars in his hands. No flip, but you can see a lot of that hull in this shot.
