Great looking boat Rick. I'm a first time builder and plan on building a skiff very similar to yours. I'm not finding any good plans for skiffs, Should I go to www.dhdriftboats.com? My plan is to build a 13.5ft skiff with minimal rocker—my float trips s are long, flat water, lots of sandbars and always a head wind. I also want to go with a bit less beam (42 at the floor 62" at the gunnel. Should I just start from scratch? Thanks for the inspiration and I love the power dory.

Dave
I just finished a Trapper, but tearfully gave it to my son and daughter in law as a wedding gift. I never put an oar to water in the boat so I don't know how it handles. Since you are well familliar with the Trapper, why would you consider the mini drifter? I ask because I am now considering a mini drifter as my next project. I like the fact it has fewer frames, looks a bit lighter, maybe a quicker build? What are your thoughts? I wish the plans were available by themselves at a much reduced rate (minus the video). Any similar lines drawings available out there of similar boats?

Dave go to www.dhdriftboats.com , look at boat plans it's the 10' mini drifter. I duplicated the center frame and added 16" to the center of the boat, over all length 10'11" end to end.It has a4' bottom ,the sides are a constant 19"
