I have a old rapid robert, built from the boatbuilders handbook from 1956. it is about 13'6", it makes a really good boat for 2 people but gets crowded with 3. you can make them without the stern rocker to plane better. you might want to look at the skiffs that ray's river dories have, they have a lot of room and still row thru white water. I built mine from one of their kits, so they did the ribs and I just put it together and finished it plus they are a good resource for questions.
