I'm a high school teacher in central Florida. I teach design, woodworking, and welding. I've been fly fishing for over 20 years, spent a few years guiding in Colorado and owned a plastic driftboat. I've been building bamboo fly rods in the winter for the last few years and decided recently I'd really like to have a driftboat again as I spend the summers in North Carolina across the street from the Tuckaseegee River. I did some research and decided a skiff style boat would meet my needs best. I love working with wood both for my job and with the bamboo rods so a wood boat seems right for me.
