"If you decide to remove the rub strip, you'll find it fairly easy to mark the center of the nail head with a centerpunch and drill off the head - that way the rub strip will come off fairly undamaged. "

- Fell in love with rivers as a small kid, fly fishing the McKenzie. Moved away from fishing and into whitewater rafting in my 30's where i honed my river running skills for the past 15 years. Now I'm ready put the two pieces together... fly fishing and river running, and I am one who believes there is no better way to float a river than a wooden drift boat. And so i've decided to build one, God willing.
