My name is Chris Anderson and I attended Lebanon H.S. (graduating in 1981) I took a class or two from you but I was not a shop guy at the time - Dave Bellinger - my good friend says that he keeps in touch - I was wondering if I could stop by - I would let you know before I get to Lebanon - and ask a few questions about drift boats - my Mother in law still lives in Lebanon and we still have some relatives there - but I live in Washington and don't get down as much as I would like.

Just wondering if that would be ok? Thanks

Hey Steve,
I don't know if you will remember me but I have talked to you at all the boat shows (I had the little pram next to you this year). Any way I just got off the phone with Jeff at Cabalas and he told me you got the bid to build the boats for the new store. I too gave him a bid and I just wanted to congratulate you on getting the contract. Given the history you bring I think it is awesome you will be doing this. I know it will be a grind getting them done on time, I just wanted to say good luck and congrats.

Hi Steve,
I met you at the McKenzie Boat Festival last spring - I know, lots of people, lots of boats. I'm thinking about building a "re-creation" of the Portola (Diablo Canyon) boat from 1962 and running it with Brick Mortenson's son Dave and Tom Martin. I've talked with Roger Fletcher about it and he has some pretty good pictures and descriptions in his book. Do you have any information or plans from that boat that would help me get started? We aren't planning to do this until 2011 or 2012 - so I've got plenty of time.
Thanks Steve.

Beaver Boy, this is a pretty interesting site. Randy's boats look a lot better than Tatman's. You are are still #1, but I like Randy's kit options for those with the courage to built it. Let me know when you are going to be in the area. I am seeing beer. Going to the McKenzie River Guides Wives' Dinner? Every time I drive the freeway and see the 65 MPH sign, it reminds me of the Civil War football game!
