Here's a shameless plug for Eagle Rock Lodge. We sponsor the McKenzie River Wooden Boat Festival the fourth Saturday of each April. Look for it next year on April 25, 2009. We will have the new poster up soon.

Fishing has been very good this season and fall is a great time to be on the McKenzie. The October Caddis is starting to hatch and overcast days get the flies out early and keep the fishing good all day.

Hello John, yes holiday travel is what the lodge is all about. Eagle Rock Lodge is located on the McKenie River just outside of Eugene, Oregon. The McKenzie is the birthplace of the McKenzie River Drift Boat which evolved in design in the 1940s and 1950s.

John West, one of earliest guides on the river and early boat designer built the original home that is now Eagle Rock Lodge.
