Hi. I'm wondering if the 1840 british cutter by Pete Culler is a good boat, can it do larger crossings? Can you singelhand it. Any opinion is welcome. Dave

Of course!  But, questions pertaining to wooden drift boats get more informed responses.

ok thanks

The Wooden Boat Magazine forum is an excellent place to get comments on sailboats.

As to the singlehanded aspects of any size boat - it depends on the skipper.  If you know you can sail the boat alone, then there is no need to ask the question.  If you have to ask, the answer is probably no.

i'm shure i can singelhand it i was wondering if what other people were thinking
