For those of you with dry compartments, what sort of gasket material do use use for the seal? Neoprene? Foam? Weather Stripping?  Just looking to find out what works well and what doesn't.

ive used marine weather stripping from lowes on both my center consoles in the past w/ ok results.  i am sure there is a better (and more expensive) product out there, but it does the job.  just make sure area is clean prior to application.  full disclosure, if it was a boat i was building i would probably get something cleaner looking.
I used closed cell foam.  It works o kay.  I have heard good reviews for auto gasket.

went to a boat show yesterday and was climbing all over all sorts of boats.  the nicest ones had "D" shaped neoprene weather stripping, which holds up better than most (i asked the contender rep).

Like you mentioned, I used Neoprene strips.  I got it in 25 foot rolls about 1 inch wide 1/8 thick.  I epoxied it in place.  Worked well.
