Getting ready to install the eye bolt. From what I have read on this forum you put a hole all the way through the bow stem and then seal with epoxy and 3M. I have two questions. First, what size eye bolt are you guys using. Second, where do you put it on the bow stem? I was thinking about 3/4 of the way toward the bottom from the top of the bolt.

I would consider using the "easy lift" eyebolt style. Makes loading super easy as there is no need to lift the front of the boat on to the roller.

I looked at that option. I only question if it will fit. I milled my bow stem cap so that it comes to a pretty sharp point. The flat spot on the front of the bow stem is only about 1/4 inch wide. The pictures on the net make it look pretty wide. How does it install? If you could post the demensions and maybe some pics of it installed that would be a great help.

I will have to go measure it on the boat. It is def. wider than 1/4" though. It installs with two bolts that pass through the stem and get a washer and nut on the inside of the stem. I bedded mine with 5200 and tightened it down. It makes loading a boat by yourself much easier - you don't have to lift the boat at any point - just get it straight onto the trailer. I will take a look when I get home.
